My name is Trevor and I recently started working at Candels Electrical Estimating as a project coordinator. I will be participating in the current Electrical Estimating Apprenticeship that is being run by Candels Estimating Training. Before working at Candels, I didn’t know much about the electrical field. I had watched some YouTube videos and read some articles so I knew how to look at building plans but I knew nothing about estimating.
I read online about Candels’ electrical estimating apprenticeship and it felt like the perfect choice for me. The Candels team teaches so much detail about estimating that their program can’t be beat. I researched other estimating training programs but was disappointed that they were only 16 hours or less. I knew that there was no way you could learn how to estimate in just 16 hours. After reviewing the syllabus for the Candels’ apprenticeship I was sure that this was the right program for me.
As a project coordinator for Candels, it is part of my job to receive new jobs as they come in. Doing this electrical estimating apprenticeship will help me not only be able to do my job better but will also prepare me for the future when I hope to be an electrical estimator. I’m excited to learn about electrical estimating from Linda and Marc.
