|Marc Candels – President
Marc is responsible for overseeing all projects at Candels. Marc has extensive experience in the electrical industry and has worked as a journeyman and master electrician in Connecticut. Marc has 30 years of electrical estimating experience, for both union and non-union companies. As you can imagine, the types of projects that Marc and his team have estimated is quite vast! Marc has virtually estimated every type of building such as hospitals, schools, churches, offices; low, medium and high voltage switchgear; water treatments plants; docks; and even projects for NASA! Marc has also worked as a project manager for several large companies, where he supervised the building of a major pharmaceutical plant, managed a large scale private school science building with cutting edge lighting technology, and managed both a large scale hospital and prison renovation, just to name a few. Mr. Candels sits on the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) Code Panel 4 (overhead clearances) and the United Laboratories (UL) Standards Technical Panel (STP 1565, Positioning Devices) He has also given many training seminars at various industry events both on a local and national level. In 2003, Marc, and his wife, Linda, decided to combine his technical talents with her marketing skills to form a company, offering services that they found lacking in the marketplace. The Candels’ and their team of estimators always strive to deliver a detailed take-off, both on-time and accurately. The entire team prides themselves on their work and they like that they have a reputation for being detailed. 2015 marks the 12th anniversary of the Candels organization, and we look forward to the next 10 and beyond!
|Linda Candels – Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Linda has had an ever-changing role at Candels. Linda served as president from 2003 until 2011. In 2012, Marc took the helm as president, while Linda has focused on the sales and marketing efforts for the company. Coming from a distinct background in business-to-business marketing, Linda managed the marketing efforts for companies like United Abrasives, Baumer Electric, Colt’s Manufacturing, ABS Pumps, and Jaypro Sports.
